Well, me and my friend where trying to connect on terraria. It always ended up working for half a second, and then CONNECTION LOST. Anyways, I heard someone say the you should update the game, so I backed up the game files and uninstalled terraria. Unfortunately, as predicted, all my progress (worlds, characters, TModLoader, ect) was lost. But then I realized I don't know how to turn my game back to normal. I backed up the files, what do I do with them to bring back all my progress?
